Nina Thumpings had a lot of freedom - more so than her mother ever did - in the new empire that was founded after the events that reshaped the world. Despite this, she still felt restricted to her newfound home in the palace. Because of who she is and who she descended from, she was a famous celebrity like her mom used to be when Nina was growing up in Talkar. This was a position she did not wish to be in. She saw what it did to her relationship with her mother and she felt this sort of attention would do her no favors either. She longed for the great outdoors - to be free across the rooftops and enjoying the evening breeze through her fur. She knew it was reckless to be exposing herself like this, but if she did not take these chances to relish life, she feared she would go mad behind closed walls of steel and stone. She was born to be free, not to be caged and looked at.
