A king does not hunt: he is served.
And today the feast is plentiful.
The golden crown is worn with royal poise, a sign of his superior role and yet only primal hunger is gleaming in his eyes... his belly already heavy with his indulgences, his surface spotted with desperate, fleeting protests from those who were fortunate, or unfortunate, enough to be "chosen"...
But he's a kind king and listens to them all, he even replies! Pressing down just enough to remind of the "banquet invitation" they so eagerly accepted....
And now they're in their proper place: beneath him, within him, but still part of his grand feast!
His tongue flicks through the air like a whip tasting the anticipation, the lingering flavor of his last course and the promise of the next.
In his grasp another offering writhes. He holds them high, letting the moment stretch, a final show of dominance before they will, too, join the rest.
More will soon come to join his party... as the banquet is far from over.
