---TW medical issues with pet---

hi folks!
my little dachshund velma has had a severe infection that led to intense bloody diarrhea
and needed fulltime medical attention the past days. she was on the verge of dying and if nothing was done to help her she most definitely would have - according to the vets.

(more info about the situation, feel free to skip! just for those interested)
fortunately velma has recovered fully and is now back home (see the purple-y pic in the middle!)
the vets initially believed it was a parvovirus infection but a more detailed test showed it wasnt.
otherwise things couldve gone even worse.
first we had to go to the only open vet in our area on sunday - thats when she started having symptoms.
after some medication and a few hours of intravenous infusion we were sent back home.
after her symptoms worsened later we rushed her to a 24/7 opened clinic on sunday night.
because of the day(time) the bills were almost double in everything they did. materials, time spent, medication costs, etc...
from monday til thursday we went to a more nearby vet who made her have infusions for the whole day. we stayed by her side 24/7
and i have to admit it was so traumatic seeing your best friend like this... while all you can do is just hope for the best.

we are left with a total of more than 2k EUR, closer to 3k EUR. we had to pay everything upfront/at the end of the day of her treatments
so we are actually struggling right now.
