Ok,this just came to mind.....but it makes sense to me.The unknown wolf/demon is a prized gift from Heather Koe's great grandmother,but Heather didn't know that her great gran gave it to Wendy when she was taking care of her.Of course gran is an evil hag who thinks of only herself and no one else,so she was only cleaning out her closet full of demons in little jars and whatnot,and thought that THIS kind of demon was a good one for Wendy....NOT.So now great gran might be on her way to take back the demon she has left with Wendy......and maybe take Wendy along with her.D=
