The digitally-enhanced color version of one of the Panzermensch, the bad guy troopers in Dusty's A.L.I.C.E. project, under development. Here, a trooper is on a routine foot patrol in a recent battlezone.
Dusty specifically wanted a design that was reminiscent of the Zaku from Gundam, except the design shown here is human-scale powered battle armor, as compared to a Zaku's 20-ft-tall robot mecha.
Ink and colored pencil, 2011, and digitally enhanced in photoshop a few weeks later. One of the limitations with colored pencils I'm finding is its hard to get those deep shadows. I can using ink, but that can be a bit problematic when you're trying to fades and blends. Guess I'll keep experimenting with different techniques. Previous versions of his pic (pencil sketch, inks, natural media coloring) can be seen in my Scraps folder.

They would have a disadvantage due to the jump capable abilities of the Elementals. At least this 'ground grunt' variant would. It's rifle would be comparable to an Autocannon-5. It's only advantage would be it's speed and the fact it would operate with several squads numbering to a max of 40, and would co-operate with the airborne "Valkyrie" variants, the heavy weapons "Goliath" variants, and the assassin "Spectre" variants.
Mmm, interesting start. But if this was to show a more finished design I probably would not, myself, have gone with such a dynamic pose for it. All the movement, twisting and turning really hides some of the detail and makes the design harder to read.
On the weapon it looks like you drew it in perspective, I can see the back of the mag. So that would mean that the gun is being pointed away from the viewer. But with the arm that close to the chest I dont know if thats physically possible with such a large weapon.
