While Todd had been dealing with genie nonsense Jackie, Whitney, and Ashley were shopping around for food that would be more befitting of herbivores such as themselves.
Whitney getting plenty of cabbage, Jackie some fresh eucalyptus, and Ashley some fairly nice veggies, on the last stop before his place they were stopped by the genie Amani who wanted to cause some trouble....
Amani: "So you are the harem girls my old master has? Hmm. Cuter than the other girls he has in the next town." She said using a bit of magic on them to make them believe her.
Whitney: "What are you talking about? We aren't his harem."
Amani: "Really? Boy does he have you fooled. If I were you I'd get away from that guy asap. He fattened the other ones up to where they can't even waddle away."
Jackie: "That's concerning if it's true. Girls? I think I'm out just for safety's sake."
Ashley: "Me too, I don't want to be a wooly butterball!"
Amani: "You especially little ewe, he loooves to fatten up little busty ones like you."
Whitney: "And why should we believe you? Todd's never been weird around me and I'm the biggest one here."
Amani: "You think he'd do that when you are free? Pfft, no he'll wait until he has you home. Alone and easy to stuff as fat as a whale. But enough chit chat, I've got to be going now. I'm just grateful he didn't make me into a blimp."
The three young women looked to each other again and decided to get an apartment together rather than with what they assumed to be some kind of sick pervert.
Jackie: "Let me give him a call, surely he wouldn't actually do that. Right?"
Whitney: "We don't owe him anything, let's just tell him the deal is off and we'll be finding a place somewhere else."
Ashley: "Sounds good. And then we can find someone normal."
Jackie: "Hang on, it's ringing." As the corgi picked up his phone.
Todd: "Hey Jackie, how's it go-" He was then interrupted by the Aussie.
Jackie: "You can drop the sweet act. We just heard about what kind of a man you really are. We'll be pooling our resources and getting a place together."
Todd: "What on Earth are you talking about?"
Jackie: "If you don't know, I ain't wasting the time or the crayons to explain it to ya." She then hung up on him, before blocking his number.
Todd: "Did she just call me stupid?" He sat there confused as to what she could have heard to have given that negative of an opinion of him. "Great... alone again." He then put the bed back together he had fixed for Whitney. "Who would have said anything bad about-" His eyes narrowed as he said: "Alex Gaylord Baker."
He then dialed up his brother's number assuming he'd be the only one to do something that lowdown.
Alex: "Yo bro, how's it going? Uh, gonna have to ask you to call back later dude. Kinda busy right now." He said having a cute girl in his lap.
Todd: "Alex, I just have one question. Did you, or did you not talk to my secretary Jackie today?"
Alex: "Ugh, no I haven't talked to the down under disaster. Why?"
Todd: "She just called and said she knew what kind of a man I was and when I tried to call back she had my number blocked."
Alex: "I legit couldn't tell you man, I ain't seen her. I can tell you that much."
Todd: "Very well. If you see her before I do, ask her what she meant will you?"
Alex: "Yeah yeah, gotta go dude." He then hung up and got back to the girl he was with.
Todd: "Well, there went that." He said going back downstairs, grabbing his keys to go for a drive. Mostly wanting to see where the girls might be, but wondered if it would be worth the effort.
Amani then appeared in his rear seats. Amani: "What seems to be the trouble old master?"
Todd: "Ack! You scared the life out of me. I don't know what happened, but it seems as though the girls have something against me all of a sudden." He then started driving. "Hey, did you do something to them?"
Amani: "I am shocked that you would make such accusations against me. I've not been offended like this in centuries." She said in a somewhat over the top tone.
Todd: "You lied and used magic to make them believe you didn't you?"
Amani: "What?! No!! Of course not." She said looking as guilty as a fat cat in a canary cage.
Todd: "I don't believe a word of that, but I'm in over my head dealing with a genie." He sighed. "Fine, you win. Is there something you want from me or what?"
Amani: "No, after all now that I have my freedom I can pretty much get and do anything I want. So what would I need from you? I'm just enjoying the chaos."
Todd: "Well why not pick on someone bad? What did you even tell them?"
Amani: "I told them you were a freak that has other girls fattened up to immobility in the next town over. They'll keep that info to themselves but good luck convincing them you aren't a sicko!" She then vanished in a puff of smoke.
He backed his car up and drove back to his empty house, figuring what could have been the best thing for him got ruined before it could even begin. Wandering around the house dusting where it needed to be, and polishing the dining room table.
He became very quiet and distant from everyone after this, not really wanting to talk or get close to anyone preferring to be alone. In the hopes that the genie wouldn't ruin his life his life any more than she already did...
