Not really 100% canonical drawings, as drek eyes and vision are a fair bit different from human vision and eyes thanks to where their eyes are exactly on their head. But I wanted to try drawing a 1st person drek perspective and frankly, trying to depict a dreks canonical vision is next to impossible in my opinion. It's two eyes that are somewhat independent of eachother, on oppossite sides of a head.
But I wanted to try drawing a first person perspective with a more human field of vision and here we are! I don't think any of this turned out particularly well. Its a very challenging perspective looking back on a horizontally aligned body.
Of course looking ahead or even directly down a drek isn't likely to see much of themselves, their head is in front of and above their body, so they do to some extent have to try to see their body when looking ahead. But of course when they look behind themselves they will see most of their torso, particularly the lower back, legs, tail, etc. and I wanted to try drawing that specific perspective. So here are some practices, concepts, studies whatever you wanna call it.
Gotta get ready for the upcoming first person shooter game Dragonscape: Combat Evolved.

Yeahhhh having to illustrate the concept on a flat 2d screen makes true WeirdEye POV representation impossible.
I think the closest we could get is to use a VR headset, and make each eye have a whole lotta extra horizontal FOV, with each eye having a view that's mostly out to the sides and only overlapping a tiny bit in the very center, past a whole lotta snout.

Yeeeup its why this is not that.
Honestly, if I were to somehow be able to draw that, it would probably be so disorienting that it wouldn't be worth it.
But of course this isn't technically how a drek would see the world Unless I somehow shifted where their eyes are and how they're oriented. so I think if I were to keep drawing the 1st person drek this way, it would all come down to a "Just roll with it and suspend your belief a moment" type of thing.
