Late reply to this comment but maybe you'd know, it's been bothering me lately...do you think it's safe to fast for 24 hours if bloodsugar is kept from falling too low (via drinks that contain sugar) and the calorie deficit is made up for later with extra food? This is something I get the impulse to do sometimes (because it's extremely enjoyable) but I'm afraid to ask my doctor if it's safe due to worry that I'd be misunderstood as having an eating disorder or something.
