Halcyon
Halcyon supped on all your promises tonight
His cell phone rang at dawn
but he left it cold beneath his pillow
Forget, forthwith sweet Halcyon
Can cats drink up the rain?
Can foxes feed the forest?
Your bed is cold and desolate
Alaska mountaintops as well
Beauty sleeps in solitude, sweet Halcyon
They tremble to know your touch
May all your friends dwell in glass houses
Hush, hush sweet Halcyon
The night is not as long as it seems
Halcyon supped on all your promises tonight
His cell phone rang at dawn
but he left it cold beneath his pillow
Forget, forthwith sweet Halcyon
Can cats drink up the rain?
Can foxes feed the forest?
Your bed is cold and desolate
Alaska mountaintops as well
Beauty sleeps in solitude, sweet Halcyon
They tremble to know your touch
May all your friends dwell in glass houses
Hush, hush sweet Halcyon
The night is not as long as it seems
