Hello, all. I return today with the latest addition to my well received contemporary art collection. This time turning to a classic. Perhaps it may seem derivative, at this point (especially when compared to the other pieces in my collection), but sometimes I find its best to go back to the tried and true. At least once in a while. So enjoy, my fine ladies, gentlemen, nonbinary individuals, gender-fluid individuals and all other fine individuals in between.
Now that it’s after midnight, I can officially tell you all: April Fools! Yes, shock, disbelief and a rampant sense of distrust have most certainly overtaken you all, right now. But it is true. ‘Twas a jest done in the name of foolish April merriment. The thing is though, it wasn’t entirely a joke. This was kind of a nostalgic throwback for me actually. For you see, back during the days of my childhood youth, I used to draw bowls of fruit all the time. It was my way of trying to be a professional artist. And even though I did this one just for laughs, I think it actually came out pretty good. Especially since I didn’t have any real bowl of fruit, a table that looks like that or a wall in my apartment that’s that color.
Edit: so, turns out I forgot to mention that there’s a secret little reference in here. I realized while working on this, that some of the fruits I was planning to include happened to bare similarity to the names of characters from a certain cartoon I like. Strawberry, lemon, raspberry, blueberry, grape, orange, lime. If it isn’t clear, the cartoon in question is strawberry shortcake: berry in the big city. Sorry if that came across as condescending, people have a tendency to miss my references. So I just wanted to make sure if someone doesn’t recognize it, they could at least know what it is.
