Mhm mhm! They're actually married in the D&D game they're from haha. Xenarus is an NPC who is a demigod, intent to seal the portal to hell in the Serpent Isles through sacrificing himself and using his soul to place a divine seal, as done by his predecessor and those before him. Rel came by and as a Paladin devoted to the order of ancients, couldn't agree to the self sacrifice, despite knowing it was necessary. As the journey went on, they managed to find a way to avoid the sacrifice, uniting the Serpent Isles under one front to seal the portal to hell and the armies that came through it!
In all of this, Rel figured out why he could just never let go of Xenarus, it was a blossoming attraction that would later reveal itself at the victory party, where an inebriated Paladin let slip his feelings to the demigod in a passionate night that led Xenarus to question his feelings toward the Paladin.
After a couple of years of living and adventuring together, repairing the Serpent Isles, they would get married and integrate the Serpent Isles under the govt Rel leads known as Dov Sahvot, establishing one of the first major territories to bring about draconic-humanoid relations and harmony.

Long wall of text but they've been my bois for abt 6 years in the 2 campaigns they're from and I just absolutely love them too much haha

Sounds like some awesome campaigns! Gives these two a lot of backstory and meaning and I can appreciate that!
