Reference Sheet for my female sona Cœur de Basel. She is a Swiss Alpine Dragon. In European alpine folklore the mountain dragons of the Swiss Alps were cat-faced. She is cheerful, energetic, free-spirited and sometimes a bit sassy. She loves roaming alpine meadows, forests and exploring old castle ruins.
Her design is inspired by several Swiss alpine animals. The Eurasian Lynx for her facial features. Roe Deer antlers for her dragon horns. Kestrel for her dragon wings and tail.
I will always be a dragon at heart. I have always loved dragons, especially the typical D&D style dragons. I wish to be a fluffy dragon.
For anyone that knows their Swiss geography Basel is a city that is not in the alps. I really like the flow of the name Basel (Pronounced: Bah-Zel). The countryside surrounding the city of Basel is quite rural filled with many hills, meadows and forests. Many of the forests hide rocky caves and the area has many castle ruins, the kind of area that is perfect for a alpine dragon to roam freely.
