I loved the way the artist drew backgrounds and lighting effects. I love night cityscape scenes, both walking around and also taking pictures, because there’s something about the vibe and the lighting that just gets to me. While I had the idea of Hong Kong in mind instead of something from Europe (it is a much much grittier city with a completely different vibe than many cities in Europe), I didn’t provide a specific scenery, just my sona relaxing and munching on a bao. The lighting may be completely different than what I imagined Hong Kong would be like but the style captured the mood and vibe perfectly.
