It was just for a debut. She wasn't a debutant, this wasn't her first rodeo. Maybe it was the fact the theme was warm colors, and she wanted to avoid red as much as possible. Meela had said it before, she didn't prefer it but her partner was going to have maroon, and black.

"Could I get this with a different capelet?" Meela turned to the spider that ran the warm boutique. "Maybe something.... Darker?"

"That series comes in warm black, cool black, cardinal red and the lovely hibiscus you have on now."

This was the only one she liked so far. The boning felt right with the cut of the panels. It sat nicely on her hips and pressed her chest near flat. It was rather... Handsome.

"Do you have anything like this... in a blue? Or a green?"

"No cool tones for this style, but we have a few items with shorter corsets or higher waists that are." Didi snapped a royal blue cape before setting it aside with the matching boots and silk tie.

"I haven't seen many dresses this season with that color." A voice chimed. Meela saw a set of grey-mauve eyes and offered an awkward smile. "It's very eye catching."

Meela frowned. Hibiscus, black, or crimson red. Every color was a statement. ".....I'll be taking this one."

"Would you like a pair of shoes to match?" Didi held up two pairs of shoes, maryjanes with ribbon ties or pumps with little daggers along the heels. Meela looked at her claws, then her clawed feet. "....Do they come in wide?"

"Yes they do."


Didi the spider fashion designer, setting Meela up for a social event. Miss Tempest Ravencroft off to get something stylish for her own wardrobe. Let me channel some Bridgerton in this story tidbit. Let's go to a fricking gala.
