Answer request from tumblr! Made him a Crested Forest Toad... Also known as the South American Common Toad! They appear in a variety of colours, shapes and sizes, but usually have these brow ridges. Not as spiky as Answer here, of course! Maybe he's a hybrid with a horntoad?
There doesn't seem to be much info about this species on the Internet. Searching for it gives me the page of a photographer, and a whole slew of websites for the - apparently - more popular puerto rican crested toad. Hm...
