Chase and Efra, siblings by blood, grew up destitute and alone, only having each other to rely on. One day, when they stumbled upon the famous pirate Isabelle, captain of the Black Orchid and self-proclaimed Queen of the Silent Sea, they challenged her to a battle. If they win, they are allowed a position on her crew. Both siblings are extremely acrobatic, and while Efra is proficient with a staff, Chase is blessed with a natural affinity to lightning-based magic. As the trial went on, the siblings grew ever more tired, while Isabelle herself hadn't even broken a sweat, easily dissipating Chase's magic and blocking blows from Efra. The two leopards didn't end up winning the battle, but were invited to join Isabelle's crew anyway, as she took a liking to their spirit.
