There is such a deep yet mysterious expression here that I just have to speculate one what fits the image best. The face speaks of sadness, a longing mingled with loss. It is a muted feeling, though; perhaps the conclusion to a fun and exciting weekend when facing the prospect of departing friends and frolic-no-more...or maybe the feeling is without explanation, so unexpected and potent that the confusion of it's source dominates the actual despair.
