My attempt at imagining what Ijeng portraiture would look like. (The Ijeng are a culture from my webcomic "The Satyrica Andromedae".) I was mostly inspired by what little survives of Roman wall/panel painting. I imagine that Ijeng painting is fairly naturalistic, but certain features such as the eyes are exaggerated in their size.
The Ijeng text reads: Sa Tsam Sikrá Ti' Tù' Sithi / Sa Itsam Kashi / (I) Yal Reimenlaimute
English translation: Lord Prince Sikrá Ti(srùl) Tù(gai) Sithi / Lord Prince of Kashi / Descendant of a Man Made God
The little green thing on his finger is the spirit/genius of Vantsáin, his deified great-grandfather.
Although Sikra isn't a highly-respected figure, painted portraits of him are likely obligatorily hung in certain government offices or public spaces.
