There are only two species of tree in the realm of Aratrice, the Polyphyllplasia, and the Cladoknarl

Polyphyllplasia are the most abundant, most similar to evergreens, they are thick and lumpy, very sturdy wood, with drooping leaves, they produce a resinous sap that has antibacterial properties, and the leaves smell quite nice when mashed up, they're also rough, one may grab a handful and rub in over their hands until it breaks apart, the rough leaves help rub away dirt, and leave the hands smelling fresh.

The cladoknarls are much more sparse, for every 50 polyphyllplasia you see, you will likely encounter one cladoknarl, it's unknown how they grow or spread naturally, no leaves, no seeds to speak of, they just pop up, the best way to get one to grow is literally just to pray to the plague deity themself, cladoknarls are enjoyed for their sap, which is sweet and sort of a pale yellow, the pallid wood is great for staves, as the wood has great magical conductive properties.
