A New Bartender at the Silver Lining
Absolutely amazing, wonderful, stupendous gift artwork done by my friend
RocketeerRabbit
This features my goat fursona in one of her universes, where her OC Chef Morgan runs a restautant called the Silver Lining. This was an idea we both brainstormed together, and it was a lot of fun to do so and the art piece is so amazing aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~! Thank you so much Rocketeer Rabbit~!

Kayin was nervous. And late. And anxious. And late. Worried too. And did we mention late?
He had finally landed a job at an amazing local restaurant. Five stars, rave reviews, the kind that was mentioned on TV, the Radio, and over social media. And not just because the place was owned by renowned former celebrity, Chef Morgan. Though that certainly helped. The place was adored for its food, but just as much as for the atmosphere where it was clear everyone, from the servers to the cooks, and everyone in between, right up to the owner herself, cared about making sure the place was a warm, welcoming, and friendly place. A place to unwind, to enjoy a good meal alone or with friends. The kind of place you could go to for a celebration or to try and find some comfort after a rough day.
It sounded like the perfect place to work, and here he was, being late for his first day!
He'd stayed up late, talking with friends and looking up all kinds of stuff about bartending. Trying to sort out what was just myth from fact. He'd even tried experimenting mixing a few drinks at home. Probably half the reason he was late! Though at least he wasn't hungover... he hadn't gone too far in that, knowing how much of a lightweight he was.
Still, his hair wasn't the best, even his fur was a bit ruffled and sticking up in places in the haste he was in to get dressed and then hurry over. He expected a scolding or write up, or trouble of some sort. Being late on his first day was a horrible first impression! He was practically quaking as he worried about how Chef Morgan would react once he got there.
But instead of being mad or angry, she was understanding. She was calm, collected, and nudged him into work. His desire to do good clashed a bit at first with make up for lost time as he tried to rush a bit, but nearly hurting himself just prepping some of the stuff he'd need for the evening and a little chat with Morgan helped to reassure him.
The anxiety was still there, this was his first time doing this kind of job... but as the night wore on, he seemed to get into the flow of things. And all through the night, Chef Morgan was there to check in on him and help him out. She'd told him she was always just a nod and call away from joining him behind the counter and assisting if it became too overwhelming. Fortune was with him though, or maybe it was just the knowledge that his boss was confident he could do a swell job if he just relaxed and didn't worry so much.
His first night there might have been busy, but he made it through the evening. And as he was cleaning up, Chef Morgan swung on by to say how proud she was of how he'd handled himself. And that she'd made the right decision in hiring him as her new bartender.
