Couldn't sleep so I finished Ary's ref. Mostly. I may tweak/polish it later if my fingers get itchy.
A brief summery of him, since I don't want to wall'o'text you guys and the full write-up would only really make sense if you knew what Locks are and how they operate:
Aryian - The Emperor's Hand
Aryian's 'job' is to be whatever/whenever/wherever Jarovin (the Emperor) needs him to be. He does a lot of errand running and is always around when the Emperor is out and about. Other Locks hunt him down for advice. He is short and a bit more kindly then Locks tend to be so he has to put up with a lot of shenanigans despite the fact that he is one of the most powerful individuals of his 'kind.'
Aryian is usually mild-mannered, although he will snap to being stern and uncompromising if roused. He has a somewhat stoic appearance, can be difficult to read, and prefers peace and solitude above most else. He is unusually tolerant and patient with the company of other beings, Locks included. Aryian does not waste words and does not often initiate any sort of physical contact, with anybody, though he may tolerate contact from another (I abuse him so much in doodle time, haha).
He has a few odd hobbies like reading (he frequents libraries all over the cosmos and will read absolutely anything. I'm serious. If it has pages and words he'll read it.) and sleeping (Locks don't sleep, but he's figured out how to do something similar).
Uuuh the mark is important. Aryian bears the print of the Emperor’s palm on his chest. It symbolizes his servitude, his duty to the Emperor and his persistent desire to be a conduit for the Emperor’s will, and is especially a reminder for humility and patience. As Jarovin is endlessly patient and forgiving of him, so he is called to be patient and forgiving of those who call upon him. Most don’t know that he has a mark at all, though several suspect. Being the private, modest creature that he is, he keeps both the mark and its effects on him well-hidden. It does not normally show on his Lock forms, but is prevalent on his non-Lock ones.
Aaand, I was going to mention relationships that have formed around him but pretty much everybody knows Ary and a LOT of Locks tie in from before the hierarchy. Mostly because he was saving everybody's asses from Hons. So let's do the obvious relevant-for-now ones:
Hons is his arch enemy. Jarovin is some amalgamation of teacher/brother/master. Jeih came to him for help and then didn't listen to him, got himself into trouble, and now Aryian is saving his ass and Jeih thanks him by being a creepy jerk.
And that should be good for now.

Such excellent artwork. The design and skillfully rendered anatomy reminded me a bit of the work of Wayde Barlowe in his book, "A guide to extraterrestrials," but this image outshines that almost thirty five year old work by light years. I find the character fascinating, and very "Believeable."
