Great sketch! Think your colouring scheme would work well; the white will provide lots of contrast for the irridescent blues and greens. Will the headplumes have some blue/green features too?

Helllll yes. I think white is a lovely color idea; maybe with a slight golden tint or some similar sunshine-y warmth to set off the cool colors of the peacock feathers.

Wow, this is super weird; o.o You kind of nailed the color scheme my next design for a Q costume was going to be. I wanted something with a white base so that I could re-use the white stilt legs for Zaland, and then I wanted beautiful iridescence on top of it, and was using peacock feathers, glass marbles, hummingbirds, and paua shells as inspiration. I was debating on doing a gryphon or a feline/dragon hybrid. Maybe this means I'll go more feline/dragon!

(All of this is to say I clearly love it :D. It's very very beautiful. The only other color scheme I might suggest is the other one I was contemplating for the costume, which is a bunch of tawnies and chocolate and then the green/blue/purple iridescence on top of that.)

Ooo, I like that color combo too. Q was also suggesting black rather then white, but I agree with gyrhawk that white would contrast well. Yeah, I love the Peacock Gryphon concept overall as a costume someday, especially as suggested by Kittiara to be hybrid with an Egyptian Mau as I tried using more in the face/ears.

Having had the moon dragon long enough to learn the ins and outs of it, I just don't think I can do solid black base anymore; it just all turns into shadow blobs, unfortunately :( If you're doin' a neutral solid, I am definitely more for white :D

Nooooo!!!! I love Moon Dragon to bits and pieces :D And in person she's way gorgeous :) I just know that I get a lot of lurve lurve out of the photos and the black and the photos are not optimal :)
