The Rise of Trenton Dusthands is a short story based on my eponymous ratfolk wizard character inspired by the Bloomburrow set for the popular Magic: The Gathering trading card game.
I wrote this short story in the middle of March 2025, back when I first started playing Magic: The Gathering via the Bloomburrow Starter Kit.

Trenton Dusthands is a laid-back and patient yet also lethargic and vulnerable ratfolk sorcerer-in-training whom studies the arcane art of Storm Sorcery whilst working part-time at the Knowledge Ossuary in his home dimension of Bloomburrow.
Having struggled to balance his work and hobbies throughout life, he often proves himself to be more efficient in gambling than lorekeeping, much to the disdain of his fellow ratfolk, including Vren the Relentless.
