She usually remains mute as she's still learning human speak but she's a very intelligent quantum+matriarch dog deathclaw hybrid. She picked her own name, Thalassa. After she escaped the lab she was developed in and then was eventually named by the civilian survivors from the region around the nuka cola plant. Being typically keeping to herself and not harming humans unless threatened or someone got to close for her own comfort.
