Got her for next to nothing at a yard sale! She is a 1969 Briggs and Stratton 11 hp I/C 4 stroke engine with a tapered crankshaft. The guy I bought her off of wanted $50 but me being... me, talked him down to $20. Now here is me begging; I don't know much in the way of small engines, so I need a little help. She ran just fine on ether with a little smoke in the crank case. (do to no oil) The smoke is not what I'm worried about. The oil pan was full of plastic and metal bits from something that was smashed with in the block. I think it was some sort of governor linkage because the low oil indicator is there and intact. What I'm wondering is what was broken and dose it need it? Thank you in advanced and I will probably thank you again. This will be moved to scrapes due to limited interest.
