Ellen admired herself in the mirror.
Hair, freshly styled. Contacts, in. New sundress, worn!
It was the perfect new look for spring. Perfect for the pleasant, sunny weather and perfect for meeting cute ladies hanging out in the quad. Maybe wearing tank tops or bikinis…!
Ellen loved spring!
Winking to her reflection, the co-ed cat boldly set off.
And as soon as leaving her dorm building, she realized the weather wasn’t quite what she dreamed of.
It was overcast, rather than clear and sunny. And a strong wind blew, whipping her skirt around her thighs and threatening to reveal her underwear. Ellen had to hold it down, to be safe.
A cute goth parrot walked by, wearing a jacket against the wind chill.
“Hi, hello there,” Ellen said. She lifted a hand to wave but another gust of wind hit, blowing her skirt up. Ellen pushed her skirt back down with both hands and blushed. “Windy day, huh?”
The parrot laughed, once. “Careful you don’t blow away, stringbean.”
And then the bird continued on her way.
Ellen sighed. Another gust of wind caught her skirt and nearly made her trip into the bushes. The weather was clearly not cooperating. But you know what was also good? Sweaters. She would look hot in a sweater. But with her luck, she would change outfits and come back to sunny skies.
---
Poor Ellen. She just wanted to look cute but mother nature said you're going out there dressed like that?? The best laid plans of cats and also cats.
It could have been worse. It could have been moth season.
