Starting off his journey, Basil arrived at the first town gym with a pep in his step and eagerness in his eyes. Though, before he could even challenge the gym, his coach recommended he train at Sprout Tower, first. Basil was expecting some simple sparring sessions against the old masters that lived there and he'd be on his way. What he didn't expect was for the old owls there to use dirty tactics like Hypnosis, putting his ass to sleep and in a daze before kicking the ever living shit out of him, twirling the Chikorita through the air before landing on his back, KO'd!

Basil KO'd at Sprout Tower mini boss. He was Hypnotized and couldn't resist it, staying asleep for the full duration as the Hoothoot brought him down from full health to zero. (I have literally never fucking lost this fight ever. This is fucking foreshadowing-)
