When Tails had his custom-made bodysuits created at the hacked G.U.N facility, he came across a few that were created in error. This erroneous suits lacked any hold for his face, and in fact had a perfectly shaped mask in its place.
Putting it on for a bit of a laugh, Tails found himself enamored by its feeling of all-encompassing comfort. Perhaps he'll just hold on to this one after all...
