I needed a picture to work on to keep me distracted from the move and missing family, so I went digging through my old to-be completed sketches and found this really old picture of Vex from 2008 that I still rather liked. His giant grin certainly helped cheer me up. =] I made some minor adjustments to the sketch like adding his tail in, but otherwise, it looks pretty much exactly like the old 2008 sketch except with colour.

Totally~ I just uploaded a pic of a bunch of smiling furs, in fact. ^^ It was actually a freebie sketch she gave me of the first pose that she didn't like! Unfortunately I can't afford anything else for Vale, he's also getting a reference. However, I have ONE more dragon that needs drawing... and this will be entirely of my design, for the first time ever (...you know how that stuff goes with me, I can see the eye-rolling from here! xP). Katty's been busy since she gave me Vale's flats a few days ago, but I was going to ask her to help after she's done with Vale... do some lineart for me, then I'd color it in and be wishy washy with colors and markings on my own. You know I'd love to offer you some more work, but with no paying job this summer I can't at your prices last time I checked, I'm sorry. x_x
I just saw that pic, actually. =] There must be quite a number of events going on before Independence Day, hey?
Haha, no eye rolling over here... that you can see. 8D *Innocent look* It'll be cool to see what you come up with for that other dragon's design. ^^ And really, no worries about not being able to offer work without a paying job, I totally understand as I've mentioned before. Katty showed me the ref image she was to work from of Vale's new design and really liked what I saw, so I was just mentioning that I really liked how he looked. :D Maybe one day in the future I'll get the opportunity to draw him. Until then, I cannot wait to see the final product of the image you commissioned from Katty - it looks amazing from what I saw of the lineart!
