Dino Digs Daycare in The Sims 4 - incomplete
So uh... I recently got into the Sims 4, like, REALLY got into the Sims 4, like played it for hours on end and forgetting to eat levels of getting into the Sims 4.
And well, it's no surprise that I would attempt to recreate Dino Digs Daycare from my series in it! I mean, I literally created a floor plan, so it was a good thing to work off. This actually isn't my first shot at the daycare, but my second, I have an older version of it built on a much smaller plot, which meant a lot of details like the nurse's office had to be omitted, I also didn't have much knowledge of the building tools and techniques that are staples for serious builds in the Sims 4 like quarter tile placement, bb.moveobjects, and object scaling. I also didn't have the growing together expansion pack for my first take either.
Building the daycare in a 3d environment was incredibly helpful at giving me a better idea and reference of how everything should fit and details I have missed with just a simple floor plan, for instance, the entrance of the daycare now includes a reception counter, staff office, and an electronic gate into daycare, areas like the pretty scattered nursery and sick bay now have more fleshed out floor plans, and areas that were originally huge, like the bathrooms and assembly hall have been reduced in size.
Now obviously, this isn't a 1-1 replica of the daycare, as I feel like certain objects are hard to replicate without other packs or CC and would be better if I could simply just draw them in, for instance, the classroom's chairs are pretty big, and there are some areas I'm not 100% satisfied with like the play area. Also, the Daycare is incomplete, as it's lacking its second floor at the moment.

I think I heard from lgr that back in the day, some building designers actually used the sims 1 as a house design tool, so maybe it is kinda intended to be used this way. And yeah, I also did a quick floor plan of the mansion for a friend's game with the Sims 4 as well. It's just nice to have all these tools, even better than Minecraft too in my opinion (even with furniture mods)
There is a slight downside to this though, and that is price... you can do some decent stuff with base game sims 4, but just know that if you want the good looking furniture, you're gonna have to research and pay for those dlcs. Although CC Furniture mods do exist, but I want this to be viewable to anyone without CC
At least the base game is now free to play.
