This one's supposed to be an American Staffordshire Terrier, which is just a beefier, slightly stockier, but otherwise not terribly different American Pit Bull Terrier. The breed has a different name depending on where you are in the world.
Show quality pibble, essentially. Might've made my guy TOO chunky, in the torso region especially. Needs more tummy tuck. Lil chunk-a-munk.

The American Staffordshire and American Pit Bull Terrier were once the exact same breed [APBT]. Fanciers wanted the APBT recognized as a breed but the AKC didn't want to because of the whole dogfighting thing, so they called the APBT the "Staffordshire Terrier". People started importing Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and people got confused with the names, so the added "American" onto the "Staffordshire Terrier" [secret APBT].
The UKC had no problems with "Pit Bull" so they recognize the American Pit Bull Terrier as a breed. Fanciers started breeding the American Staffordshire [APBT] into less of a game/working breed and more as like.. a fancy, show dog. That's why they're a bit blockier, a bit more muscular and not driven like the APBT. They're two different breeds now.

Not trying to be rude, but this sort of thing always ends in a long comment battle over some tiny little technicality about some hypothetical theory of nothing.
Please try to comment on the artwork. x3 I assure you that, regardless of what you want to call it, I am a supporter of both breeds: pit bulls and am staffs, be they the same dog, different dogs, I don't care. Bully breeds in general ftw. And that's all that really matters here, right?
