So, since I've decided to try to finish this one up finally: progress shots. The body suit is basically done - needs some seams teased out, but otherwise I'm pretty happy, and really glad I sprung for the really NICE fur back when I still had money XD
Need to add tattoos too, hm.

Nope! The CRS white fox is about three inches long, this is closer to 2.5 inches, and it's a lot thicker/lusher. It was also a lot more expensive, but the company... in my notes I have it listed as 'prefur', probably 'premium fur' or something like that... only ever did this one type in a few colors and they seem to have vanished. I originally bought the supplies for this one about two to three years ago.
And thanks!
And thanks!
It's form-fitting, yeah, no padding. The way I did it was to just cut apart my dtd - well, only half of it, that way I can keep the other half for future. You add a little slack around the joints and at the ends of the wrists/ankles if you want a looser fit there like I have, or just use as is if you want a tighter fit there. you generally want to put a seam between the arm at the torso - like a regular sleeve seam but lower - and a seam between leg and torso, also a little lower. Make sure to fold the fur in when pinning seams and make the seams really narrow to catch as little fur in them as possible.
Also, would rec thick fur in front to hide the zipper, rather than putting the zipper in back - it's so much easier to deal with in front.
And do noooot cheap out on the fur if you can help it. Quality makes all the difference in how it looks finished, and in how easy it is to sew. Cheap stuff, the backing stretches and skews and frays and pulls apart while you're working with it.

Ahh, dtd, always give a best fitting hehehe :3
Here I found only a low profile fur, 0,60 inches, think I will put the zipper behind to hide it.
Here some pic from the head http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6006364
I'm bit afraid about the final lookon the joints gloves/lower arms and lower legs/boots since the fur is a bit low and it sometimes roll up
and thanks for the infos :3, soon I finish the second head I will do the bodysuits :)
