your painting style always makes colors pop, but man is this pic something else. i really think there can be a serenity to fat stuff, just having a big plush pillow to cuddle with, and the lighting and color work here really work in favor of that idea. one of my new favorites of yours
One of the main reason I do like these things so much is indeed the idea of it being like a big soft pillow. I do try not do add too much details or rather lines onto the body compared to everything else when drawing big things just cause it’ll give that a much softer look I feel like.
ahhh, you understand!!! i can enjoy detailed fat stuff, of course, but there's just something so inviting and comfy about a simple, big, rounded out belly like this. it's one of my favorite aspects of your work, the way you focus on the lower half of the body without going full cartoony (primarily balanced by your style + coloring), it just... really hits a part of my brain in a good way
