The Manor is a large estate made up of several wings but also several areas, including the zoological and botanical gardens, which are themselves subdivided into appropriate categories according to research needs.

Some time ago, Hayley (   otterlyinspired ) entered the Manor. Following exposure to an alchemical ingredient, this mortal human is currently undergoing a metamorphosis, the end result of which suggests that she will become an otter. While strolling through the zoological gardens, she came across the subject experimenting with Bengal grass. Despite the effect of Bengal grass, which gradually reduces the human mind to a wild animal state, Hayley's presence enabled the tiger to retain a semblance of intelligence. But more than that, the animal developed a very special affection for the evolving mustelidae.

This is one of the limits that reason cannot explain.

Now part of the experiment, Hayley was allowed a few questions about this special bond with the subject. She replied that when the tiger held her between its paws, she felt safe. That she could feel his gentle warmth against her fur, and that this warmth came as much from within as from without. That nothing could happen to her between its paws, that she was its own world. That she could feel the animal's strength as much as its tenderness, that it reminded her of the intoxicating scents of exotic flowers and fresh grass...

The reason may explain how this type of attachment occurs.

But the why is a mystery that only they keep secret.
