Just a small pack of early bronze age wolves, casually strolling by looking for something, or someone... :P
More of the copper / early bronze setting! At this point there's enough material to make a gallery folder for it, we shall see.
These guys are not friends of Cave Lion and Scrawny Marten, maybe quite the opposite in fact. As the climate warmed, new groups of sedentary folks moved into the mountain valleys with their crops and cattle, getting into conflict with the local hunter gatherers.
This is how Cave Lion lost his tribe, not sure about the marten but it might be the same.
On a side note, I LOVE bone weapons and armors! They are so underrated, which is odd considering how common they were in the early bronze age! I clearly have to spread the love for them! :P

But yeah, bone weapons and such are seriously underrated. Or any sort of pre-iron age stuff. I got a piece with a new character of mine and his macuahuitl and even the artist was like "Wait, they used obsidian? Dude, that's metal as fuck". Well, same thing applies to bones! =p

Feels like the lore of the marten and the cave lion is starting to gain pages quickly... I'm all up for it.
And I may be biased, but yes, bone weapons are absolutely amazing. 😌 Even if I tend to be more in the "sword & sorcery", heavy metal cover kind of fantasy, I can appreciate good grounding and realism!
