"I've scoured this part of the beach countless times on my way to hunt for fish between the rocky cliffs of the Island. I've learned the layout of the rocks that reach out of the water and the coral reefs that cling to them beneath. From stepping over the hot sand to diving into the water, I know what awaits me. But when I saw a golden shine between the rocks, I knew something was off. I investigated and the picture before me would burn itself into my mind: the sight of the first other face I'd see on this island was that of a stranded sailor. And my heart nearly faltered as I saw the faint trail of fresh blood coming from his drenched shirt. I dropped my catch that day and carried him all the way to my tent. Even to the point of exhaustion, because I knew this was the most extraordinary thing to happen to me since fate has found me to this island."

This was is a quick portrait to finally introduce a new character and more story to the island setting.
I was vastly inspired by the song 'Kiltro' by the band bearing the same name.
