It would be easiest to have the Ifrit be doubtful of his son, but instead play into the more encouraging side of being a family! Plus, I do like the fact that were reading this story through the predator pov and making t more nuanced than initially thought, they're only being the "villians", only following the mindset of the tribe and their cultural beliefs!
