Hello everyone!
This is a finished Giveaway Prize for JDeck, a lovely community member and supporter of my streams, who won a badge illustration during one of my special streams! He decided for me to draw his Kirin character Light and their design was absolutely gorgeous to work with!^^
Kirins usually have a very thick and fluffy, curly mane that I first had a lot of respect and uncertainty drawing, but I tried working out the fluffiness with multiple layers defining the hair and went all out with the shading on it, making it look very detailed and interesting to look at! It happened to get very dark due to the shadows I added, so I added a layer of colouring to counter that and the result was a more vibrant, still contrast rich piece that radiates positivity and softness in my eyes! What do you think? Doesn't this friendly, maybe slightly exhausted Kirin look like a friend to talk to and to lean on in times of need? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
