Guru ol' son, you need never ponder how you should do things, or whether or not you should cater to the results of a fleeting poll.
Firstly because it's hard for the viewer to distinguish between design and style, one may for example choose based on which style (subconsciously) appeals to
ones sense of style - to such an extend one misses the design entirely. Secondly because it's your baby, your style, your project - you need not try to second
guess your audience, because that's impossible to do anyway.

Make the things you like, and those who share your taste will follow.

Honestly, I was probably going to just do what I wanted in the future anyway, but I just put these Polls up to see if there WAS a direction I should possibly trend towards. Also, as a hidden side note, I was looking to see who would vote, and how certain people would vote.

This is true, if makes me wonder if perhaps some people are picking up on that subconsciously.
Another thought I had was that Hairstyle #2 seems to look the 'busiest' or most detailed because it's sketchy looking, whereas the simpler more refined styles don't grab the eye as much?
