Every soft-skinned creature of this world carries within them a secret —
a hidden, sleeping part of their being known as the Second Face.
It is not worn — it is grown, deep beneath the skin, waiting in silence.

When emotional trauma strikes hard enough to break the mind,
the skin peels back, the fur stands on end, and the skull —
brightly colored, mask-like and raw — is revealed.

This transformation is not magic.
It is instinct freed. It is the soul exposed.

● THE FRACTURE ●

The Fracture is not death —
but a psychic collapse that shatters the boundaries of self.

Caused by:
° betrayal
° deep grief
° lost identity
° emotional numbness
° existential dread

Once it happens, there is no return to the "old self".
The creature becomes real, brutally so — raw, honest, and instinctual.
Some call it freedom. Others call it a curse.

□ THE SOUL MASK □

The exposed skull — also known as the Soul Mask —
is not painted. Its colors appear organically,
a manifestation of the creature's true inner self.

A mask can display up to three colors,
but only one dominant.

Each hue carries emotional meaning:

Red — aggression, rage, destruction
Blue — sorrow, emotional detachment, numbness
Yellow — fake joy, envy, hidden despair
Green — yearning for peace, fear of the unknown
Purple — isolation, reflection, quiet madness

☆ PHYSIOLOGY ☆

• A special “skin hood” protects the skull in its dormant state.
• During transformation, the skin peels back, revealing the full bone structure.
• The fur stiffens, standing upright.
• Creatures may grow slightly taller (2–7 cm).
• Upper fangs elongate — a feature both terrifying and symbolic.

In this state, they are primal.
They no longer pretend.
