Before the passing of my 15 yr old Ball python Danni http://terra-fen.deviantart.com/gal.....et=312#/dowsdb who was the sweetest snake ever, I started collecting snakes again. My little sister had been taking care of her while I was moving and I was going to get her back the first chance I got and add her back into my collection. She passed away about a week and a half ago. RIP Danni! I am getting a tattoo of her on my back (which I had been planning for 3 years anyways...)
Here's my new Jungle Carpet Python. One of two snakes. He is such a lovely guy, reminds me a lot of Danni in his temperment. First day I had him, no problems, no snapping, he let me hold him and curled up around my shoulders. I'm glad to take care of him because my friend needed to find him a new home. He's waiting currently for his rat to thaw out so he can eat. NOM!
He doesn't have a name yet. I tend to let pets tell me their names by personality since I've only had him for a week (an a busy one at that) I haven't been "told" what to call him. :)

I've had beardies! They are awesome lizards. But I have learned that with my time schedule and personality, I much better suited to have snakes. I do miss my male beardie though, he was such a laugh riot! He found a new home with a friend and is well taken care of. :)
What a lovely boy! I definitely plan on getting one of these guys when the income allows for it, they are such lovely beasties. I'll be looking at getting a Tegu as well, I hear they are -very- intelligent and affectionate. I'm sorry to hear that Danny passed, Balls are such sweet hearts. I'm sure he'll be missed.
