The Anomaly was located in flat terrain, making it visible from afar. No one knew where this odd levitating boulder came from, only that it was there, it floated and more of the red material was visible in the ground below, arranged in a spiral pattern. As interesting as the phenomenon was, I preferred to steer clear from it, due to the wide berth the vegetation was giving it and I didn't trust that whatever stopped the plants from growing in the Anomaly's vicinity wouldn't affect myself in a negative way.
