Here we have another scene that didn't make it into my story, and it still really bothers me that it didn’t. I always had it in mind, but unfortunately I couldn't find an appropriate spot in the plot where I could build it in, so unfortunately I had to cut it out.

The scene should have been part of the second last chapter of my story during Simba's and Bahati's time travel, where they try to find out who saved Simba's life during the events in the gorge. Once they arrive in the past, they meet their parents and Simba's younger self. Both young Simba and Mufasa and Sarabi are fascinated by the fact that Simba will be larger than Mufasa when he grows up, and young Simba takes the opportunity to sit in his future mane. “But who is the second lion accompanying the adult Simba?” they wonder when they notice that they look very similar to each other. So they ask him.

The picture shows the moment of great surprise when their question is answered. With the words “Simba, I'm your brother.” Bahati introduces himself to young Simba as his future brother. All three of them have the surprise written all over their faces. They didn't expect that. “I'm having siblings?” young Simba asks his parents. Mufasa and Sarabi themselves are so surprised that they don't know how to answer. At no time did they have any plans of having a second cub. Now they are even more curious and want to know from their adult sons which future circumstances will make them become parents a second time.

Hier haben wir eine weitere Szene, welche es nicht in meine Geschichte geschafft hat und es geht mir noch immer sehr nahe, dass es so ist. Ich hatte sie immer im Kopf, doch leider fand ich keine geeignete Stelle in der Handlung, wo ich sie hätte einbauen können, also musste ich leider auf sie verzichten.

Die Szene hätte im vorletzten Kapitel meiner Geschichte während Simbas und Bahatis Zeitreise Platz haben sollen, wo sie versuchen herauszufinden, wer Simba bei den Ereignissen in der Schlucht das Leben gerettet hatte. In der Vergangenheit angekommen treffen sie auf ihre Eltern sowie den jungen Simba. Sowohl der junge Simba als auch Mufasa und Sarabi sind fasziniert davon, dass Simba als Erwachsener größer als Mufasa sein wird und Simba nutzt die Gelegenheit sich in seine zukünftige Mähne zu setzen. „Doch wer ist der zweite Löwe, von dem der erwachsene Simba begleitet wird?“, fragen sie sich, als ihnen auffällt, dass sie sich einander sehr ähnlich sehen. Also fragen sie ihn.

Das Bild zeigt den Moment der großen Überraschung als deren Frage beantwortet wird. Bahati stellt sich dem jungen Simba mit den Worten: „Simba, ich bin dein Bruder.“ als sein zukünftiger Bruder vor. Allen dreien steht die Überraschung ins Gesicht geschrieben. Damit haben sie nicht gerechnet. „Ich bekomme Geschwister?“, fragt der junge Simba seine Eltern. Mufasa und Sarabi selbst sind so überrascht, dass sie nicht wissen, wie sie darauf antworten sollen. Sie hatten zu keinem Zeitpunkt irgendwelche Pläne ein zweites Kind zu bekommen. Nun sind sie erst recht neugierig und möchten von ihren erwachsenen Söhnen wissen, was in der Zukunft dazu führen wird, dass sie ein zweites Mal Eltern werden.
