COMMISSION NOTES
I waffle in my ability to achieve the sort of sharpness I want in an image, which is really about understanding that not everything has to be as sharp as I feel it should be. That prioritization is the goal. Sometimes you sharpen too much, or in the wrong place, and the eye doesn't know where to go. Sometimes you don't sharpen enough, and little details stick out as wrong.
I feel I got the balance right here.
It's perhaps the case that those portions of the drawing that receive less emphasis, must be used primarily to lead the eye where you want it to go.
