My most recent purchase at a gun show. I’m deciding if I want to change the handguard stick and grip or just leave it how it is. I found a OD green M-lock handguard but of course it was out of stock.

Fun guns but, as a reloaded who rakes up brass at the local range I help maintain, I hated those things. Very hard on the brass. At least the PTRs have the decency to mark the cases for me, thanks to the chamber fluting.
It's the cheap ARs made by you-know-who, that eat field gauges like candy, that make PTR91s look easy on brass by comparison. Visually can see the brass ahead of the case head bulging. PTR brass can at least be reloaded, it will just have poor life. These cases can't even be fed into a sizing die. Now I don't dislike PTRs, like I used to, anymore.
Personally, I'd leave it as is and get a sling for it. Maybee add a red dot.

I'd leave it as is honestly. Then again I do like the idea of the m lok hand guard on it though what would you put on it? It would make a decent fighting rifle but at least on a certain brand of rebuilt cetme c rifles that ptr helped on they aren't as accurate at range.
Some years ago, I traded a 1987 Nissan Centra for a Century Arms Centurion 99 (basically "the poor man's HK91). Those were the days when you could get 20-round G3 mags through Cheaper Than Dirt (the paperback catalog) for $3 or $5 dollars. Aluminum or steel.
