This is a lesson character building. I asked myself "Would Gerard drive a car? Bicycle? Public transport? Skateboard?" And the answer is no, fuck no. So how would he get around town then? It's so obivous: Gary is a biker guy. That's why he's all in leather. He also smokes, but not while on duty.
Jimmy used to be a biker as well. He was in a gang in his youth, these days he prefers sporty cars.
