Most mustelids form a permanent monogamous relationship at some point in their life, and when this inevitably results in a child, their offspring is raised communaly by the whole settlement, being taught the skills they'll need in life, and given the love of the whole village. Usually the children are left to choose their own profession when they come of age, but during duress a cleric or a tribal chief may choose to guide and lead them to a choice pertinent for the function of their settlement.
