Awoken in a desolate castle by the flash and shock of electricity and commanded by the ringing voice of someone who wasn’t there to “Rise, Killbot, rise!” This hyena woke to her world with no memory to bring comfort and with a body no longer naturally her own.

Now, she’s on a mission to kill for answers, fuck! (A lot.), and to thrash her world until she’s found a challenge too great to handle. Say hello to Ghoul, the cyborg hyena!

I had a ton of fun designing up Ghoul using majinbanzi ‘s hyena base. Thanks to great friends, I kept up with working on her for quite a few days, learning more on how to do better art all the while, and finally got to a point where I was happy enough to call her completed (for now at least).

Had the fun idea some time back to have a character who could somehow absorb and reuse weapons/materials, so “Nano-Space” technology was my excuse and Ghoul got to use it! Nanobots inhabiting Ghoul’s body (and that are basically all the metal parts of her body as well) take items and break them down before putting them quickly into a pocket dimension Ghoul can control/reach into. This makes it convenient for her to suddenly pull out weapons from thin air and catch her enemies off guard. The nanobots can also work to craft new items over time in this pocket dimension or outside of it. All this work does begin to heat things up over time though and if Ghoul isn’t careful a nasty overheat is just around the corner, giving the cyborg a convenient (if painful) addition of having “fire powers” according to her description.
