Ginga Nagareboshi Gin - Or more wellknown to me as ' Silver Fang '

As a kid I have a deep love story to this anime, I watched it all the time. Loving every bit of it, to the point my 2M tall father looked for the highest shelf to hide the casette from me lol.
When I was small I only had 2 casettes, which is the early part of the show. But later as a teen I got ahold of the full series ( in swedish ofc lol ). Theres no way to explain how amazing it was to finally after all these years see the thing start to finish !

A few years later I also got ahold of the Japanese full anime, which also felt like a severe mind fuck xD All these years ive made my own stories to fill out the gaps. Like, why was the old man caught in a cave with an injured leg? ofc! it must be severe frostbite DUH. Then I saw the real reason, which left me dumbfounded and I once more enjoyed the series.

So yesterday, Savie found the swedish full dub on youtube. So OFCOURSE I binged, and OFCOURSE I made my first fanart since YEARS. I could feel how my inner child cheered when I finished up the drawing and it looked way more than passable. This was Silver, no questions asked ! I honestly got a bit teary eyed when I finished up.

I think one of the reasons why the show resonated so much with me was that the enviroument was so close to what I was brought up around. Dogs, Snow, even old lingering 70/80s snowmobiles etc. And ofc, Gohei looked like my dad and I thougth he was damn badass xD

Might go and draw some more, who knows. I am just happy to have done this

Oh, and yes I did see Weed. And it was IMO kinda bad, majorly cause it tore down all my childhood heroes xD
Like, Smith? the old dog in the series. In the old swedish dub he was voiced by a woman, so seeing him as an old man was so weird xD
Gotta love oldschool dubs.
