The star of Copernicus is a celestial being that dies an reincarnates in several lifes by his own choice. Everytime one life ends, he goes to the frozen beach: a place with no time, presumably an afterlife space where sometimes, on strange occasions, he also finds other people
The place has a strong liminal sensation, no wind, no sound, no waves, just a place that’s supposed to be warm and cozy surrounded by white snow and loneliness
